Now we are on the last steps of this tutorial. You need to allow your “Raid Leader” to talk to your raid member from the “Raid Leader” channel. To do this he will need to create a “Key Binding”. This is something your “Raid Leader” will have to do on his computer. You will not be able to do it for him on your computer.

To create a ventrilo key binding you are going to have your “Raid Leader” follow the 12 Steps listed below.

Step 1 Log onto ventrilo.
Step 2 Click on the arrow to the right of “Bindings” at the top of your vent screen.
Step 3 Click on the “New” button at the top of the screen.
Step 4 Type in a name for the binding “X-Channel Transmit” the click “Ok.”
Step 5 Now click “Add” at the bottom of your screen.
Step 6 Here you need to make sure that “PTT Advanced” is selected.
Step 7 Designate your “Hotkey” (NOTE: It can not be the same as the designated hotkey that you would use to talk in a channel normally.) click “Ok.”
Step 8 In the next screen you need to select “Channel and all Sub-Channels.”
Step 9 Locate the “Channel Names” box and click the “…” next to it.
Step 10 Now you are going to add the 2 channels you want your raid leader to broadcast to so on the “Available” side click on “Raid” then click the “Add” button located in between the “Available” and “Current” repeat this step for “Raid Leader” then click “Ok.”
Step 11 Now in the box “Channel Names” it should have “Raid,Raid/Raid Leader” now click the “Ok” button.
Step 12 Now click “Ok” again.

We have just made it so your raid leader can talk to the other raid members from a separate room, without hearing the raid members talking amongst themselves.

Now to enable they raid leaders vent key bindings he or she would need to follow these 2 steps:

Step 1 click the “Down Arrow” next to “Bindings.”
Step 2 Select “X-Channel Transmit” profile we made.

Now when he joins the raid leader channel he can communicate to the rest of the raid without hearing them communicating between each other, allowing your raid leader to focus on the objectives. This concludes this tutorial on how to set your vent up for a raid leader cross channel transmit.
